It's Mistletoe Monday! • Mon, Nov. 10 • Check in Anywhere in Boulder County at 5:30 PM
Let's get everyone in Boulder County a date for New Year's Eve.
Dating apps were supposed to make meeting people easier. Instead, they gave us endless swiping of superficial profiles and weeks' worth of texting with people we'll never meet. People now feel lonelier than ever, trapped on apps that reward attention, not connection.
We built Project Mistletoe because real connection doesn't happen on a screen. It happens between people who cross paths in the real world — at a café, on a walk, in line at the grocery store. But cultural shifts have made those moments more difficult. Approaching someone can feel inappropriate; being approached can feel unsafe.
Project Mistletoe flips the script on modern dating tech. It uses technology to bring romance back into the real world with safety, authenticity, and consent. You don't have to pretend or compete. You just show up as yourself, in your real life, in the places where you spend time, and the system introduces you to people who might actually fit. And whether you hit it off or not, when the match is over we wipe the data.
We're not trying to make dating addictive. We're trying to make it safe, real, and local.

Here's how it works. Fill out the sign-up form below to tell us about yourself. Other users won't see your answers; only our AI will. We'll send you a unique link that you can use to check in via your web browser as you go about your day. If there's someone compatible nearby, we'll send you each a text. If you both accept the match, we'll open a 30-min connection so you can coordinate to meet up in person. No more swiping profiles, just meeting real-life potential partners where you already spend your time. Who knows? Maybe your ideal partner has been three tables away in that coffee shop all along!
